Rep. Elijah Cummings died at the age of 68 on Thursday. The respected lawmaker who served the state of Maryland for two decades will be celebrated this week with services held in Baltimore and D.C.

Cummings will lie in repose at Morgan State University on Wednesday where the public can come and pay their respects between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to CBS Baltimore.

He will lie in state at National Statuary Hall  in the U.S. Captiol building on Thursday, where family and invited guests will celebrate his life and legacy. Following the services, the public will be able to attend a viewing outside of the House chamber, The New York Times reports.

A final homegoing service will be held Friday morning at New Psalmist Baptist Church in Baltimore, where Cummings attended for nearly 40 years. A wake will be held at 8 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 10 a.m.

“We invite you to come on out to say farewell to somebody all of us loved,” said Bishop Walter Thomas of New Psalmist Baptist Church.

The Cummings family is asking that donations be made to either Elijah Cummings Youth Program, Morgan State University, or Howard University instead of flowers, CBS Baltimore reports.
