Prince's Estate Shares Unheard Acoustic Version Of 'I Feel For You'

October 21, 2019

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Prince’s second album, the Prince Estate released an unheard acoustic recording of the classic “I Feel For You.”

The hit is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Pandora.

The two-track single features the acoustic version of the song and the original studio recording, the artist’s estate said.

Prince created the recording, which was discovered on a cassette tape stored in a vault, in 1978-1979.

“I was blown away,” said Michael Howe, Prince’s vault archivist, in a statement. “Here is 20-year-old Prince thinking aloud, feeling his way through the song.”

The song’s official studio recording was featured on the artist’s album, “Prince.”
