A 28-year-old man was stabbed and killed outside of a Prince George’s County Popeyes restaurant Monday, where police believe he was waiting in line for the chain’s chicken sandwich.

When police arrived at the restaurant’s Oxon Hill location at the 6200 block of Livingston Rd. about 7 p.m., they found an unidentified man with multiple wounds.

An argument sparked the altercation, which police said began when one man cut another in the line. The altercation continued after both men left Popeyes and concluded when one man stabbed the other.

The injured man was transported to the hospital, where he died about an hour after arriving, police said.

Prince George’s County police are still searching for the suspect.

The Popeyes chicken sandwich returned to the restaurant’s menu Sunday.
