Here's Why An African Market Is Coming To The Wharf Next Month

September 17, 2019

Part of the District’s Wharf will become a late-night African market next month to celebrate the two-year anniversary of Afro-Caribbean restaurant Kith/Kin.

The waterfront display will include food and Afro-Soul and Afrobeats music.

Several prominent chefs will collaborate to create dishes like spicy goat and jollof rice. Specialty cocktails will also be available.

Vendors like Pelonkey and Calabash Tea & Tonic are scheduled to attend the event.

Scheduled for Oct. 1 from 8 p.m. to midnight, the celebration is $75 per person.
