D.C. police last month raided a Dupont Circle mansion known for hosting parties and celebrities and discovered 25 pounds of marijuana, candy infused with marijuana and more than $16,000 in cash.

The house, located at 2220 Q. Street NW, was the subject of previous criticism when the District sued the owner for hosting out-of-control parties and when rapper Ja Rule performed.

Fox 5 was the first to report on raid, which occurred at the house near a church.

When police raided the house, one man attempted to flee and another took cover in the bathroom, according to court documents.

Both John Sweeney and Nabil Yazbeck face unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance charges.

Since 2018, police had been investigating marijuana parties at the house, The Washington Post reported.

Before D.C. Attorney General Karl Racine sued the home’s then-owner Douglas Jeffries, it was considered a “Celebrity House Hunter Mansion” and available for rent on Airbnb.
