Woman Sues Fenty Beauty Over Accessibility

Fenty Beauty is in hot water regarding accessiblility.

The brand has been sued for failing to comply with the needs of the visually impaired, The Blast reports.

Beatriz Gutierrez, who is visually impaired, filed a lawsuit claiming that the Fenty Beauty website does not use screen-reader technology.

Court documents also state that Gutierrez is seeking $15,000 in damages , according to TheGrio

Screen-reader technology is an industry standard that allows assists visually impaired and blind users in reading the text displayed websites.

This is typically done with a speech synthesizer or braille display.
