Woman Doused in Gasoline, Set on Fire After Trying to Stop Fight in D.C.

A woman was doused in gasoline and set on fire after allegedly trying to break up a fight in Northeast D.C., police say. 

The victim was transported to the hospital from near Minnesota Avenue and Burroughs Avenue around 6 p.m. Sunday.

She was treated for “critical burn injuries” and is in stable condition, according to D.C. police.

The woman was allegedly trying to stop a fight between two groups of young men when she was set on fire.
