Two Men, 21, 22, Charged in Oxon Hill Murder

July 26, 2018

A 21-year-old and 22-year-old have been charged in connection with a Oxon Hill homicide that occurred in May.

The suspects are 21-year-old Kyree Demarco Williams of the 2000 block of Ewing Avenue in Oxon Hill and 22-year-old Marcus Heckstall of the 1900 block of Rochelle Avenue in District Heights.

On May 20, officers responded to the scene around 7:25 p.m. and found 28-year-old Rodney Snowden of Greenbelt suffering from gunshot wounds. Snowden died later at a hospital. A second victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The preliminary investigation reveals the fatal shooting stemmed from a dispute between Williams and the victim. They were acquaintances. Both Williams and Heckstall are charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.

They are in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
