Kevin Durant and Quinn Cook are two Prince George's County natives who have surely made their city proud.

Durant, a Fort Washington native, and Cook, from Hyattsville,  secured the NBA Title Saturday night, completing a sweep of the Cleveland Cavaliers. But for the Warriors pair, the journey to this point was quite different.

Durant secured his second Finals MVP Saturday, averaging an impressive 28.7 points, 10.7 rebounds and 7.5 assists per game in the series. Cook didn't play much in the finals, but earning a guaranteed contract right before the start of the playoffs was an incredible achievement in itself for Cook, who struggled to secure a contract in the NBA, spending more than two seasons in the G League before finding a home in Golden State.

The moment meant a lot to Cook.

"If only y’all knew how hard I prayed for this. Thank you God! I know my Dad is up in heaven with the biggest smile. Dreams do come true," Cook wrote.

Shout out to Prince George's County.
