Twitter Responds to Kanye West with #IfSlaveryWasAChoice Jokes

Kanye West joined the newsroom at TMZ Live on Tuesday and said some pretty wild things about Trump, racism and slavery.

During a conversation with Harvey Levin, the rapper said, "When you hear about slavery for 400 years. For 400 years?! That sounds like a choice."

After his comments caused a major stir, Ye backtracked (a bit) on Twitter.

But it was too late, the memes, hot takes, and jokes were already coming. 

#IfSlaveryWasAChoice began trending, and Black Twitter's jokes were on point.
