Three Prince George's Co. Teens Charged with Montgomery Co. Homicide

Three Prince George's County teenagers have been charged with murder in connect with the stabbing of a 19-year-old in Silver Spring. Authorities believe the crime is gang-related. 

Lenin Mancias-Callejas, 16,  and his brother 16-year-old Bryan Mancias-Callejas, both of the 8400 block of Hill Road in Hyattsville have been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Herson Mejia-Alvarez of 67th Avenue in Riverdale.

Detectives also obtained an arrest warrant for a third suspect. He’s identified as 18-year-old Francisco Sosa of no fixed address. 

Officers were in the area of the 8900 block of New Hampshire Avenue  on May 23 when they discovered Mejia-Alvarez in a wooded area.

A medical examiner ruled the cause of death blunt force trauma and the manner was homicide.

All three suspects are charged with first and second-degree murder and other related charges.
