Twitter made it very clear that "When They See Us" deserved a Golden Globe nomination. Official nominations for the award show were released Monday with a noticiable gap when it came to Ava DuVernay's limited series.

"When They See Us" did not receive a single nomination for the Golden Globes but was acknowledged at the Emmy's where Jharrel Jerome won the category Lead Actor in a Limited Series.

Twitter users and celebrities made their feelings known concerning the snub.

Fans also pointed out that Lupita Nyong'o and Zendaya were missing from the list of nominees for their roles in "Us" and "Euphoria" respectively.
