Squirt Guns, Fireworks Used in Prank at Prince George's Co. High School

May 18, 2018

A Prince George's County high school was evacuated after a group of students used squirt guns and fireworks for a senior prank at the school.

The group of students used squirt guns on students and teachers and also set off fireworks at the school.

Bowie High School Principal Robynne Prince informed parents about the prank through a letter to parents.

“The school administration is taking this incident very seriously,” Prince wrote. “The students involved will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law and disciplined according to the PGCPS Student Code of Conduct.”

“I am really disappointed by the dangerous and reckless behavior displayed by this small group of students,” Prince continued. “I know they do not represent the student body of Bowie HS, nor do they represent all the amazing accomplishments of our senior class.”

The prank took place on Tuesday. The school's seniors are set to graduate May 30.
