Colin Kaepernick is the face of the 30th anniversary of Nike's "Just Do It" campaign.

An ad unveiled Monday features a black-and-white shot of the football player's face with the words "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything."

It turns out Nike has been paying Kaepernick since 2011 and simply waited for the right moment to unveil the endorsement.

As Nike is the official apparel company of the NFL and supplies its players with uniforms, sideline apparel and more, the company's move puts extreme pressure on the league to stop colluding against the free agent.

Fellow Nike partner Serena Williams shared her support...

...and the former director of the CIA, John Brennan...

...as well as the former president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad...

..and many more on social media chimed in...
