Rapper Tre Da Kid Found Dead in Annapolis

Rapper and Maryland-native Edward Montre Seay -- also known as Tre Da Kid -- was shot and killed Friday night in Annapolis. He was 32. 

Just after 9 p.m. Friday, police responded to reports of gunshots and found a car that had been involved in a single-vehicle crash at Forest Drive and South Cherry Grove Avenue. Police said Seay had been shot, and he was pronounced dead on the scene. 

The rapper grew up in Annapolis.

Tre Da Kid rose to stardom when he beat out 1,000 other rappers to win the Freestyle 50 Challenge in 2016. The award earned him $10,000 and a record deal.
