Police Make Arrest in Connection to Southeast D.C. Bus Stop Shooting

An arrest has been made in connection to a shooting in Southeast D.C. on Monday that left five people injured, including one child. 

D.C. Police said Wednesday that 30-year-old Ronnell Rashickle Offutt of Southwest D.C. was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon. 

Offutt allegedly brandished a handgun at a crowded bus stop in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Ave. SE and began firing. Five people, including one child, sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated at nearby hospitals.
