This Workshop Wants To Help You Build Generational Wealth

The Mayor's Office on African American Affairs is putting on a series of workshops with a goal of empowering Black communities to build generational wealth. Financially Fit DC: A Workshop Series on Generational Wealth Building was created in collaboration with Bank on DC, DC Public Library, and the historic Industrial Bank.

The second installment of the series will take place on Saturday, November 16 at Anacostia Library. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. community members will learn about the tools and resources necessary to managing finances. Specifically, participants will learn how to build and manage credit as well as bugeting tips.
