Cultural Tourism D.C. is celebrating the city's incredible diversity all month long, and WPGC's Poet is along for the ride.

Passport D.C. is "a month-long journey around the world highlighting DC's thriving international diplomatic community and its lively and varied culture." Events run throughout May and include an Around the World Embassy Tour on May 5, the European Union Embassies' Open House on May 12, and the Embassy Chef Challenge on May 17.

Lyft is joining in on the fun with a promotion called Passport Mode, which runs from Friday, May 4, through Sunday, May 6. Customers who select Passport Mode in the app will ride in a car transformed to showcase the country it represents, with an international driver as a guide.

What's more, Lyft will donate $1 for every ride taken to Atlas Corps, a local non-profit that’s working to create a network of global changemakers.

Watch Poet take a ride in Brazil and stop by the Embassy of Brazil to get the low-down on the special.
