A non-profit established to help local homeless communities is seeking volunteers to deliver Thanksgiving food and donations for propane to help the homeless remain warm as winter approaches.

The 25th Project, which started as an initiative to deliver food to the homeless on holidays, collects and distributes food, tents, batteries, sleeping bags and other items to those in need.

With the holidays nearing, the organization is looking for volunteers who can bring pre-cooked food to its Thanksgiving event and help package and deliver warm food in D.C. and Northern Virginia.

The 25th project is simultaneously raising money to buy propane to assist the homeless in remaining warm.
