'It's Sad When Family Gets Like This': Drake Responds To Father's Claims Absence Sells Records

October 9, 2019

Drake and his father Dennis Graham are in the center of a very public disagreement. Earlier this week, Graham made headlines for an interview in which he claimed the rapper only says he was absent in his life to sell records.

"I have always been with Drake. I talk to him, if not every day, every other day," Graham told Nick Cannon in an interview. "We really got into a deep conversation about that... I said, Drake, why are you saying all this stuff about me? This is not cool. [He said> dad, it sells records."

The comment caused speculation that Drake could have exploited his relationship with his father soley to make a profit.

However, Drake responded pn Instagram denying that his raps contained lies.

“Woke up today so hurt man. My father will say anything to anyone that's willing to listen to him. It's sad when family gets like this but what can we really do, that's the people we are stuck with... every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept," he wrote.
