4.9 Million DoorDash Users Had Data Obtained In Security Breach

September 27, 2019

DoorDash is the latest company to experience a data breach.

The company this week said an “unauthorized third party” accessed information of more than 4.9 million users on May 4.

Users who joined DoorDash on or before April 5, 2018 are affected, the company said in a news release.

Information the third party obtained ranges from names, email addresses and phone numbers to the last four digits of payment cards. Full credit card information or CVVs weren’t obtained, the company said.

About 100,000 driver’s license numbers were also accessed.

The company doesn’t believe passwords were obtained but is urging users to reset passwords as a precaution.

DoorDash said it’s contacting users who it believes were impacted.

“We deeply regret the frustration and inconvenience that this may cause you,” DoorDash said.
