Mother's Day is usually spent celebrating our mothers and other women in our lives who have been there for us and supportede us through the years. But what happens if your mom has been jailed and can't make bail?

Enter National Bail Out, which led the #DMVBailout, "driven by the love, principle and labor of black women."

National Bail Out is an organization that is "a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support our folks and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration," according to the website.

The group fundraises through various avenues like bake sales and barbecues. Raheem DeVaughn recently joined the DMV chapter to lend his time to the cause.

He shared his contributions on Instagram.
