D.C. Summit Will Address Racial Disparities In Birth Outcomes

D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser is hosting a National Maternal and Infant Health Summit next month aimed at discussing racial disparities in birth outcomes.

On Sept. 10 at the convention center downtown, Bowser will reveal her administration’s approach “to ensure the health of women, babies and families,” according to an event description. 

The morning will include panel discussions, a luncheon and workshops. 

The event is free, open to the public and scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
