Several D.C. natives will help shape a new art scene in downtown Silver Spring.

Peter Chang and Brandon Hill, who together form the D.C. group No Kings Collective, are among the artists for a “Silver Spring Walls” mural project launched as part of the city’s $10 million initiative.

James Bullough and 1010 will also contribute, with a fourth D.C.-based artist still to be selected.

The murals will be debuted between now and mid-November. The complete project will be displayed Nov. 16 as part of Silver Spring’s “Re-Imagining the Holidays” event.

The artwork is a section of the project that also includes other artwork, a new plaza and greenspace downtown.
