January 20, 2020

DaBaby has responded to a video of him allegedly assaulting a hotel employee during a recent stay.

The video showed the rapper entering a hotel lobby, where he is then seen throwing the employee into a chair before pointing his finger in his face.

DaBaby took to Instagram to give his own record of the events, captioning the post "Ima leave that right there & stand on it. #CounterSuingAll2020 -- Let’s Get it. Who else got a lawsuit for Baby? Oh yea & Don’t forget...“RICH YOUNGIN” OUT NOW."

In a series of slides included in the Instagram post, DaBaby explains that he was acting in defense of his young daughter.

"That hotel worker you see me "pushing" came up to me outside the hotel & asked could he record a video of me while I was holding my 2 year old daughter," he wrote. "I calmly and respectfully said no and explained to him that him posting a video at the time would compromise the safety of me and my child by letting social media know where we were staying."

He went on to explain that after the employee decided not to listen to his request he then "made him sit down and understand the fact that NO video is worth the safety of my child being compromised."

DaBaby also wrote that his lawyer will be in contact with Beverly Hills AC Hotel to retrieve the video of the events that occured outside of the hotel.

"I got a big pretty a** lawsuit otw with their name on it," he wrote.
