50 Cent is never afraid to speak his mind.

Most recently, he made it known that he views his show "Power" missing out on an Emmy as a racial issue.

“I like to say it’s racial,” he said Friday at the Television Critics Association Press Tour, according to the Associated Press. “That’s the easy way to get out of things. People who are running and connected to these ceremonies are not necessarily cool people.”

The Starz show has not received any Emmy nominations in its five seasons.

"Power" creator Courtney Kemp, however shared that though an Emmy would be nice, she was appreciative for other recognition, Fox News reported.

"I thought we were doing something new and fresh," Kemp said. "I was hoping that the Emmy voters would take notice, and they didn't. You just accept it and move on. But we've been winning Image Awards now for quite some time. It feels as though our core audience does love and respect the show.

The new season will begin August 25.
