New iPhone Shortcut Allows Users to Record Police Interactions Hands-Free

October 8, 2018

By Eyasu Delesa

With an iPhone shortcut developed by a man in Arizona, the words "Siri I'm getting pulled over" can trigger your phone to automatically start recording video.

iOS 12, the latest Apple update, includes an option to add shortcuts for Siri to remember.

The Police shortcut is designed to start recording when the user says the magic words. It also puts the phone on 'Do not Disturb' mode, turns down screen brightness, pauses music, and even automatically sends out a text to a predetermined contact to tell them that the user has been pulled over.
