Naked Man Assaults 2 Metro Passengers

April 12, 2018

A naked man assaulted two people on the Metro and was taken into custody on Thursday morning, WTOP reports. The altercation occurred at around 5:45 a.m. on the Red Line, between the Gallery Place-Chinatown and Dupont Circle stations.

Metro Transit Police responded to a report of a "disorderly naked man who was acting aggressively toward customers," according to WTOP. The two riders he assaulted have minor injuries.

Witnesses told Fox 5 the man boarded the train at Gallery Place-Chinatown and exited at the next stop, then entered a second train, where he struck a rider.

The man refused to go with police, even after several warnings. Officers shocked him with a Taser gun and took him into custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
