Remember when Big Tigger took Joe Clair's job on BET's "Rap City"? Joe does.

He told the story on the Joe Clair Morning Show Monday: "I don't know if he got me kicked off, but I didn't have a job no more once Tigger came. I'm glad I can laugh about it now."

Joe famously hosted "Rap City" from 1994 to 1999. Tigger became the co-host of "Rap City" in its 10th season, alongside Joe and Big Lez. Soon after that, BET changed the show's format, and Tigger became the show's only host.

"I showed up with rappers and everything," Joe says. "They let the rappers in and sent me home!"

Listen to Joe tell the story below:

Tigger interned at WPGC in the late '80s/early '90s under Albie Dee, eventually making it to nights host on the station. After usurping Joe as "Rap City" host, he returned to WPGC in the afternoons and then mornings, from 2007 to 2011.

Now, Tigger's at V103 in Atlanta, and Albie Dee has returned to D.C. radio as afternoons host at sister station 94.7 The Drive!
