The program offers students "academic, financial and social-emotional resources over a 10-year period that spans their college graduation," according to Prince George's County Public Schools.

Prince George's County is among the 25 largest school districts in the U.S., but only 36 percent of its population holds a Bachelor’s degree.

"I had no real thoughts of like, what it's gon' be like moving out of this place," Durant said of his upbringing in Seat Pleasant.

"I'd never really seen anything outside of just PG County. So to have a program where you can just have the youth thinking about something else is very important to me."
