Coco Gauff, 15, Stuns Venus Williams in Wimbledon Upset

At Wimbledon on Monday, the youth defeated the experience. 

Coco Gauff, a 15-year-old girl and the youngest qualifying player at the All England Club, defeated Venus Williams, the oldest woman in the field, the Associated Press reported. Gauff’s win came in the first round. 

It marked the first time Gauff played in a match at Wimbledon. 

The Delray Beach, Florida, native won the French Open junior title when she was 14, according to the Associated Press. 

She told the outlet her upset of Williams was the first time she cried after winning a match.
