'Black Panther' to Show in AMC Theaters for Free During Black History Month

Award-winning blockbuster "Black Panther" is returning to select AMC theaters to celebrate Black History Month, and the tickets will be free!

Walt Disney CEO Robert Iger announced on Monday that North America's highest-grossing superhero film of all time will be screened at participating AMC theaters from February 1 through 7. Find availability and book your free tickets here.

He also shared that Disney plans to donate $1.5 million to the United Negro College Fund, the largest minority education organization in the U.S.

“‘Black Panther’ is groundbreaking for many reasons, including the rich diversity of voices behind its success,” Iger said in a statement.

“The story also showcases the power of knowledge to change the world for the better, and the importance of ensuring everyone has access to it.  We’re proud to provide thousands of free screenings of ‘Black Panther’ in hopes it will continue to inspire audiences.”

Weeks after its release, "Black Panther" became the highest-grossing superhero film of all time. It has also picked up six Oscar nominations.
