Big K.R.I.T. came through WPGC on Thursday ahead of his show at the Fillmore Silver Spring to chop it up about "hitting rock bottom," making his new album and more.

"The things that I had acquired, the materialistic aspects, it wasn't making me happy," the rapper told DJ Flexx. "I really started to understand my anxiety, my depression, how I was using my vice to medicate, and all those things really helped me with the creation of this album."

And he's won over some big-name fans with his 22-song mixtape "4eva Is A Mighty Long Time." LeBron James himself was bumping K.R.I.T.'s tracks on his Instagram story:

"LeBron been showing the craziest love, right, and I've never had the opportunity to actually meet the homie though, and that's again where the music translate, and it's just genuine."

"I appreciate that love, man." And who wouldn't?

K.R.I.T. also revealed his top picks for future collaborators, from Rae Sremmurd and EarthGang to OutKast and Kanye West.

Any parting words for his fans?

"Keep the devil off," he advised.
