Get Your Tech Fixed For Free In D.C. This Weekend

August 15, 2019

D.C. residents can get select devices fixed for free this weekend.

The District’s “All Hands on Tech” event will offer free technical support, laptop repairs and smartphone troubleshooting. Staff will also provide virus assistance, according to a news release.

In 2018, more than 500 residents attended the event.

“In 2019, many pathways to the middle class start online,” Mayor Muriel Bowser said in a statement. “Through All Hands on Tech, we can meet residents where they live and make sure they have the knowledge and support they need to keep their devices working and accessible.”

Interested residents should register online, the mayor’s office said.

The event is scheduled for Aug. 17 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lamond-Riggs Neighborhood Library.
