Activist Jawanna Hardy Wins Real Good People Award

Jawanna Hardy is the latest winner of WPGC's Real Good People Award! The DMV local is committed to fighting gun violence in the community and helped organize #GunsDownFriday. 

Shack 'nd Pack and the WPGC Street Team surprised Jawanna with her award on August 28.

Jawanna Hardy advocates for our youth in Southeast Washington, D.C., by using the social media platform to raise awareness to the gun violence issues. She is committed to serving her community. She organized the #gunsdownfriday, bringing awareness gun violence in our community. On Fridays we will be in Wellington Park SE, serving ice cream sundaes and giving away clothes, shoes, and other items. She collected donations (clothes, shoes, etc) that Friday between 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Wellington Park. We begin serving and praying from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
