Testing positive, after previously downplaying virus

In a recent interview with Capital XTRA, Doja Cat revealed that she had recently tested positive with COVID-19 after previously downplaying the pandemic on social media back in March.

After being asked how she has been doing throughout the last few month of the pandemic, Doja admitted to feeling better now, after experiencing a few days of coronavirus symptoms.

“I got COVID. Honestly, I don’t know how this happens, but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates and I don’t know how I got it, but I got it.” Adding, “I’m okay now. It was a four-day symptom freakout, but I’m fine now.”

In March, Doja went Live on Instagram sharing her thoughts making light of the severity of COVID-19. “I’m gonna get corona and then I’m gonna get a Corona, cause I don’t give a f*** about corona, b****.” Doja then called the pandemic a flu, claiming that you just need to, “take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep, that’s all you gotta do.”

Controversy is nothing new to Ms. Cat, she once again made headlines in May when a song she released in 2015 titled "Dindu Nuffin" resurfaced, and was additionally accused of previously taking part in racist online chatrooms in the past.
