Really Detroit?! Robbing & carjacking a Pastor?! Pastor Winans that is!! This all happened in Detroit this afternoon at a gas station. Pastor Winans told the local news that he felt something was wrong when he noticed that 4 men were following him out of the gas station.

While he was pumping gas, the four men attacked him, robbed him, punched him and even ripped off his pants. He was not hurt, just roughed up. He stated….

“This kind of nonsense just has to stop… it’s just the savageness of what’s happening in the streets. We just have to take a look at ourselves and say this has to stop,”

Chuck Brown, The Godfather of Go-Go, Dead At 75

Chuck Brown Photo Gallery Chuck Brown, the legendary “Godfather of Go-Go” died Wednesday. He died of multiple organ failure at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, his management confirmed to WPGC Radio.

The 75-year-old singer had postponed all of his tour days and was hospitalized with pneumonia in recent weeks. He entered the hospital on April 18.

Brown was a pioneer in the D.C. music scene and brought go-go into the national spotlight with his 1970-s hit, “Bustin’ Loose.”

Brown’s musical influence extended far beyond the boundaries of the nation’s capital. His songs were sampled by some of music’s biggest names including Nelly who sampled the singer for his 2002 number one hit “Hot in Herre.”

In 2010, Brown’s single “Love,” which featured Jill Scott and Marcus Miller, earned the singer his first Grammy Award nomination for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals. (Watch DJ Flexx’s Interview With Chuck Here).

An official statement issued this afternoon from the Brown Family’s Facebook page:

“The Brown family would like to thank everyone for their love and support over the years. We know that Chuck’s legacy will live on through all of you who have supported him and his creation of Go-Go. Mary J. Blige And More Rock “Dancing With The Stars”

It was a rocking night on Dancing with The Stars as the show nears the end of it’s current season. Mary J. Blige, Alanis Morissette and Carrie Underwood all graced the stage to perform last night.

Mary J and her castmates from the upcoming Rock of Ages movie gave viewers a hint of what to expect from the upcoming film. Dancing with the Stars alum Julianne Hough (Sherrie Christian) and Diego Boneta (Drew Boley) warmed up the crowd by launching into a medley of Joan Jett’s “I Love Rock and Roll” and Foreigner’s “Jukebox Hero,” before Mary came out as her character “Justice Charlier” to sing Journey’s “Anyway Way You Want It.” The track was just released this week to get fans of the Broadway show ready for the movie’s June 15th release date.

Morissette was among the first performers of the night, debuting her brand new song, “Guardian” from her forthcoming album Havoc and Bright Lights. And Carrie Underwood also took the stage to perform “Good Girl” from her just released chart topping album, Blown Away.

The surprising elimination among the dancers last night was Maria Menounos and partner Derek Hough, who had come out among the top with their scores the night before. The remaining three couples competing for the mirror ball next week will be Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas plus Wiliam Levy and Cheryl Burke.

The finale for Dancing with the Stars will be on May 22.

Rapper T.I. is currently putting the final touches on his long-awaited upcoming album “Trouble Man” with 45 songs in the stash. During an interview with Billboard’s Juice, the King of the South he has a collaboration with Usher lined up and would like to work with Ke$ha, Frank Ocean, Miguel, Bruno Mars and Cee-Lo for the project. The project is slated for a fall release date.

Tip explained the direction he’s going in for the project stating,”A lot of times, I’m taking myself out of my element,” he said. “This is the first project where I’m talking about things that I’ve experienced before that I’m not necessarily experiencing now, ’cause I’m not doing a whole lot of partying. I do a little bit, but not a lot … nothing like when I was in that life.”

Jay-Z Explains His Design For Brooklyn Nets Logo!

Jay-Z recently unveiled the black-and-white logo for the Brooklyn Nets that he designed himself. During the midst of announcing his upcoming “Made in America” music festival press conference Hov explained his inspiration for the logo’s creation with MTV news. ”I wanted to make it really classic and strong, a throwback to Brooklyn and what we’re about. It’s real gritty and we’re not about flash — well, sometimes. Just the roots of Brooklyn as this very bold, strong, simple logo,” he said. “It was really a take off the old subway signs, if you look at the old subway signs they were in black and white. It was that strong, beautiful, iconic black and white. I wanted to pick something that would stand the test of time and be here forever.” Jay-Z was in Philadelphia to announce his two-day Budweiser “Made in America” music festival, which he is both curating and headlining…#HelloBrooklyn

Tia Mowry & Pooch Hall Will NOT Return To ‘The Game’

BET’s highest rated scripted show, “The Game,” has just lost both Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall for the next season.

Most people are thinking the show can’t even go on without Derwin and Melanie, because their relationship was a main part of the show’s plot.

The specifics about their departures are not confirmed. Nonetheless, NecoleBitchie.com reports that “Pooch is said to be working on a new Showtime series titled, ‘Ray Donovan’ and Tia has been busy filming her reality show with her sister as well as promoting her new parenting book, ‘Oh Baby: Pregnancy Tales and Advice From One Hot Mama To The Next’.”

In a recent interview with Zooey Magazine Tia explained her stance on her husband family on the show:

“The only thing I’m very private about is my relationship with my husband. It’s a part of my life that’s so dear to me; I just want to keep it private. He isn’t on the show very much, and that’s by choice. It seems like people who do reality shows with their [spouses] always end up in divorces. I want to stay married.” When she speaks of her son, Tia glows with bliss. “[Before] my son came along, I thought I knew what love was. I never knew what unconditional love was, but now I understand.” Cree’s birth has given Tia a new perception of life. “My son makes this world a magical place. A tree is not just a tree to me anymore; a beach is not just a beach. Seeing the world through his eyes just makes everything old seem so new to me. He is teaching me to stop and smell the roses. I can be a bit of a workaholic, but he teaches me that it isn’t all about that. Enjoying what else the world has to offer is [just as] rewarding – maybe even more rewarding.”
