LL Cool J Calls Attention to Missing D.C. Girls on Twitter

Missing teenagers in D.C. is officially a national issue.

On Friday, #Missinggirlsdc started to trend on Twitter, and ‘People campaign to find D.C.’s missing youths’ also became a Twitter moment.

LL Cool J might be the reason behind the trending topic. Early Friday morning, LL went on a Twitter rant to get #missingdcgirls trending.

There has been huge public outcry for national media outlets to cover this issue.

Harvey Levin — the founder of TMZ and one of the celebrities LL tweeted — replied with a video expressing his concerns.

Mayor Muriel Bowser responded to both Levin and LL on Twitter, referring them to an NBC Washington article headlined “DC’s Missing Teens: What’s True and What’s Not.”
