WPGC’s Adimu caught up with Pharrell Williams at the Museum of African American History and Culture for the D.C. premiere of “Hidden Figures” on December 14.
Pharrell served as a composer and producer for the movie which stars Janelle Monae, Octavia Spencer and Taraji P. Henson.
He spoke to WPGC about his personal connection with the movie.
As a man with many talents, Pharrell may be most known for his music production. So for him, being the headman of the movie’s soundtrack was a task he didn’t take lightly, prepping for the role since 2014.
Pharrell also talked about his appreciation for all the supportive women in his life.
“When I look back on my career, women have been a big part of it. They’ve been a large part in supporting it,” he revealed.
One woman Pharrell has openly supported is Hillary Clinton, he spoke about about politics and the election with WPGC.
He believes millennials are what can save this country after the elections.
“The healing process is going to come from us,” he said.
“Hidden Figures” premieres everywhere on January 6.
