Most of us grew up knowing Kermit the Frog as a lovable character from Sesame Street and/or The Muppet Show. Nowadays he’s one of the most popular memes on the internet.
Kermit originally reached meme-stardom when people started using him as the mascot for the face people make when they’re thinking, “That’s none of my business.”
Now how did the latest memes come about?
You know how people make decisions based on the devil or angel on their shoulders? The angel being logical and wanting to do the right thing, while the devil wants to do whatever is most rash…well that basically describes Kermit’s latest internet breakthrough.
In the newest viral memes, you see two Kermits, one Kermit represents the angel on your shoulder while the other is evil. A situation is posed and the two Kermits go about addressing the situation in a completely opposite manner.
Evil Kermit, who doesn’t care about any consequences, is wearing a hood. Kermit without the hood contemplates a reasonable thought while Evil Kermit doesn’t believe in reasonable thoughts.
In a time where depressing news is everywhere, these Kermit memes have provided much-needed comedic relief.

The DMV has even put their own spin on the memes, putting a Helly Hansen emblem on Kermit’s hood. Helly Hansen is a popular brand in the DMV.
