Lil Wayne headlined his second annual LilWeezyana Festival this past weekend in his hometown of New Orleans. The concert, which featured performances by 2 Chainz, Mystikal, and Migos, went off without a hitch. However, before Weezy ended his set, he left the crowd with two messages. Wayne first told the crowd he would be nothing without them and their support. He followed that up with something we’ve all heard him say before “F— Cash Money.”
Video captured at the event shows Weezy dissing his record label before performing “No Worries.” He said, “Before I get out this motherf—–, I want to say three more important words: f— Cash Money.” The crowd responded wildly to the statement.
Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records have been at odds for some time now. Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against the company claiming to be owed for copyrights and royalties. Birdman recently told ESPN that he intends to repair his relationship with Weezy because he still views him as his son. Only time will tell if that happens.
