Vic Mensa released a new EP today (June 3), titled There’s Alot Going On. Not only is the project the Chicago rapper’s first since 2013’s INNANETAPE, but it also marks his first release after signing with Roc Nation in 2015.

The socially conscious EP deals with issues both political and personal. Mensa raps about the water crisis in Flint, Michigan alongside other tracks dealing with his own struggles. The 7-track EP features Ty Dolla $ign on the track “Liquor Locker,” while Smoko Ono contributed production to two other tracks.

As the Respect the Vote spokesperson, Mensa is making the EP available to all fans who pledge to vote between now and July 4. Once they promise to vote, they can download There’s Alot Going On for free. It’s all part of encouraging listeners to participate in the November presidential election.
