WPGC’s own, Joe Clair and Tati from the Joe Clair Morning Show were on site at the Temple of Praise in Southeast D.C. for Arnold Place Community Day on Saturday.

Many came out to donate old clothes and shoes at the parking lot. The clothing was weighed and put into a truck to be up-cycled.

Arnold Place’s goal was one million pounds!

Joe Clair and Tati definitely felt the love from the community. There were hugs, smiles and fellowship among all those donating as well as volunteers who came out to help sort.

Funds raised from up-cycled clothes will help build transitional homes for homeless teenage girls who have children, some infected with HIV.

Arnold Place is still accepting any donations of clothes and shoes.
