Another day, another debate about Iggy Azalea. This time it was Eve once again weighing in on the rapper’s place in hip-hop.

When asked about cultural appropriation and Azalea, Eve said in a radio interview (via Vibe) that it’s not surprising that a white girl from Australia would be influenced by hip-hop, noting, it’s what she grew up with.

That doesn’t mean Eve’s an Iggy fan, but it also doesn’t mean her music doesn’t have its place.

“She’s representing a group of girls right now as well,” Eve, who’s starring in the Lifetime movie, With This Ring, airing tonight (Jan. 26) said. “I think people right now are too quick to give too many accolades to new people. That’s the one thing I just can’t stand.”

But ended by saying, “Let her do her thing. It’s not my cup of tea but she’s representing for somebody.”
