Joe Clair is no stranger to WPGC and Washington, D.C. The host, comedian and on-air veteran got his start on WPGC’s own Sunday night hip-hop show with Big Tigger before making his way to New York City and Los Angeles.
With love for the DMV in his heart, he made his way back home to continue his stand-up comedy in the city he loves the most. Before diving headfirst into radio, Joe Clair was the host of BET’s fameous “Rap City,” where he introduced the world to rap superstars. Joe was the last person to interview Notorious B.I.G. before his death.
Now situated happily in Prince George’s County with his family, this Seat Pleasant, Maryland, native hits the morning airwaves with Sunni and the City and Guy Lambert to make the drive to work much more enjoyable.
A few fun facts about Joe Clair:
Favorite Spot in the DMV: I’d like to say my favorite spot in the DMV is wherever the beer is cold and the crabs are hot, but in actuality my favorite spot is wherever my wife tells me my favorite spot is.
Favorite Current Artist: Kendrick Lamar because I’ve been rolling with TDE since 2010 and KDot is the truth. (Ab-Soul is a beast too)
Favorite All-Time Artist: Prince. He’s the dopest. He has the best lyrics, plays every instrument, has an incredible live show and he always had the finest women. Miles Davis, George Clinton, Jill Scott and Jay-Z are all tied for second.
What Can WPGC Listeners Expect: The WPGC listeners can expect to hear the type of world class morning show that the Greater Washington Metropolitan area deserves. Hot music, great talk and TONS & TONS & TONS OF LAUGHS!!!!!!
