This week’s DMV Spotlight highlights rapper Pop Da Czar.

The talented Landover, Md. rapper started his career as the star of “Da Cutthroat Gang.”  

Later, Czar collaborated on a project with Fat Trel of MMG, the record label founded by Rick Ross, to release “Da Realist,” one of the hottest songs in 2012.

Pop Da Czar continued to generate a buzz when he performed with the top go-go bands in the area, including Rare Essence, Backyard, TCB and Junkyard.

This year, Czar has opened for rap music favorites including Fat Trel and Rick Ross.  In addition, the local rapper released his an inspirational single called “Hard 2 Believe,” featuring Shay La Fon, and released his album on the sequential date, 12-13-14.
