Miley Cyrus, Not Safe For TV? The FCC Investigates

By Shannon Carlin

Miley Cyrus won’t stop—she can’t stop—just being Miley. But some parents are not okay with the tongue wagging and the twerking and the inflatable hot dog riding.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Miley’s concert special, which aired over July 4th weekend on NBC, received a few complaints—three to be exact—from the more than the two million viewers who tuned in, leading to an investigation from the Federal Communications Commission.

Yes, three might seem like a paltry number, but even still, the FCC is in the process of determining if the show actually did violate its rules against broadcast indecency or profanity.

The special showed concert footage and behind the scenes moments from Miley’s stops in Barcelona and Lisbon earlier this year. During the special, Miley was shown doing a sexy dance with a man dressed like Abraham Lincoln, which just seemed straight-up wrong to one viewer.
