It wasn’t even 6:00 a.m. PT before the Carson Daly-hosted The Voice scored a nomination for Outstanding Reality Competition Program for this year’s Emmys.

When it was revealed The Voice was nominated, Daly (also a personality for 97.1 AMP), who presented the nominations alongside Mindy Kaling, took a quick moment to celebrate with a silent “yes!” and fist-pump.

The Voice goes up against The Amazing Race, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef and Project Runway in its category.

HBO’s Treme is another music-oriented nomination. The New Orleans-set show full of Crescent City musical numbers finished its final, abridged season last year. It was nominated for Outstanding Miniseries alongside American Horror Story: Coven, Bonnie & Clyde, Fargo, Luther and The White Queen. Treme is also nominated for Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or Dramatic Special.

CBS’s The Beatles: The Night That Changed America, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four’s famous 1964 Ed Sullivan Show appearance, was nominated for six Emmys including Outstanding Variety Special, alongside AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Mel Brooks, Best of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Primetime Special, Billy Crystal: 700 Sundays, The Kennedy Center Honors and Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles.
