JAY Z Sued Over Roc-A-Fella Records Logo

By: Jodi Phillips

JAY Z, who came in No. 3 on Forbes list of wealthiest hip-hop stars, is being sued by a graphic artist who claims he designed the Roc-A-Fella Records logo in 1995.  Now, he’s asking for $7 million for his creation.

The man is asking lawyers to make JAY Z show up for the deposition next month but the rapper’s work schedule may keep him from appearing.  JAY’s lawyers filed legal documents saying the deposition is trivial and less important than the many other things going on in his life.  His lawyers describe JAY as “One of the most prolific and hardest-working businessmen and recording artists in the world.”

Since he is prepping a world tour with his wife Beyoncé, the chances of JAY Z taking time to sit down with the man is miniscule.

JAY Z is reportedly worth $520 million.  Some of his biggest paydays include a 360-deal with Live Nation and the success of his record label, Roc Nation.
