My Search for My Missing Sister, Jennifer Napod

by Tati

People who know me well and grew up with me know that I have a sister that has been missing since the late 1970’s.

I was not born yet when her whereabouts became unknown. So, a lot of times, it was just a story told to me. I was not sure if it was real.

I remember my mother showing me pictures of this sister named “Jennifer,” and I remember thinking she was so pretty.

But where is she?

Recently, I obtained some documents from an investigation into the last place she was residing in the Philippines before she was adopted. My mother, very young at the time with no husband or finances, put her in a home she thought she could come back to when her situation improved.

I shared my story with our WPGC listeners Wednesday morning in the hopes people could help me reunite with her.
